Syria says it now controls 98 percent of east Aleppo

ALEPPO, Syria, Dec. 12 (UPI) -- Syrian state media and Russian officials said the eastern section of the city of Aleppo is 98 percent controlled by forces allied to President Bashar al-Assad.
