Authorities: Man freed 2 years after wife's false accusation
The Tennessean (http://tnne.ws/2hFojk2 ) reports 33-year-old Robert E. Polk of Nashville was released Nov. 23, days after the state parole board agreed to reinstate his parole.
Assistant District Attorney General Vince Wyatt told the parole board in September that Polk's wife acknowledged she made up the incident.
The report says Polk's incarceration cost state taxpayers more than $54,000 and he also lost his job doing electrical work and was separated from his children.
