Police: California driver swerves to save one, kills another
FARMERSVILLE, Calif. — Police in Central California say a driver’s split-second decision to avoid hitting a woman in the street ended in the death of a man on the sidewalk.
The accident happened Sunday in the small community of Farmersville, 50 miles southeast of Fresno.
Officers say that a man driving a car swerved to miss a woman crossing the street on foot. The driver lost control, traveling onto the sidewalk.
