The German government led by Chancellor Angela Merkel will tighten security measures in the country under the pretext of an increased terrorist threat, yet those will be introduced also to control political opponents and raise taxes, the spokesman for the Berlin branch of the far-right Alternative for Germany (AfD) party told Sputnik on Monday.
