Hawks request waivers on C Jahlil Okafor
The Atlanta Hawks requested waivers Monday on center Jahlil Okafor, who played in two preseason games with the team. Okafor, 25, is a veteran of six NBA seasons with four teams and has averaged 10.4 points and 4.7 rebounds in 247 career games (116 starts). The Duke product was the No. 3 overall draft pick by the Philadelphia 76ers in 2015 and has also played for the Brooklyn Nets, New Orleans Pelicans and Detroit Piston
