Toxic red tide poses threat to residents near Florida's Atlantic coast

A toxic algae that's harmful to humans is spreading from Florida's Gulf Coast to Atlantic beaches for the first time in more than a decade. The red tide can kill fish and cause respiratory issues in people. State officials say the Gulf Coast bloom now stretches alone 135 miles of Florida coastline. Manuel Bojorquez reports.

Woman sues Delta after alleged sexual assault on flight

Delta Air Lines says it will "vigorously oppose" a federal lawsuit filed by a passenger who alleges she was sexually assaulted during her flight. Delany Luh claims she was molested by another passenger as she slept. She says he was allowed to get off the plane scot-free. Last year, the FBI received 63 cases of sex assaults on flights, up from 38 in 2014. Jamie Yuccas spoke to Luh about the experience.

The Senate will hold a procedural vote Friday morning to move forward with the Supreme Court nomination of Judge Brett Kavanaugh, paving the way for a final confirmation vote expected early Saturday evening. With the Senate divided 51-49 in the GOP's favor, Republicans can only afford to lose two votes. Nancy Cordes reports.
