Singapore is known for its incredible cuisine and although the ultra-modern city has high-end options, it is most famous for its street food. For generations, thousands of so-called "hawkers" have been offering savory dishes from their small stalls, but now it is under threat. Christina Ruffini reports.

The Dish: New York City chef Ignacio Mattos

Born in Uruguay, Ignacio Mattos grew up eating local specialties but also the fresh pastas made by his Italian grandmother, who was his first food major influence. Later came other mentors including the legendary Alice Waters at California's Chez Panisse. Mattos eventually moved to New York and in 2013 opened Estela, named one of Bon Appetit's best new restaurants and later two other venues, which led Esquire magazine to name him chef of the year. Mattos just released his debut cookbook, "Estela."

Injured jockey Victor Espinoza is determined to ride again

One of horseracing’s biggest events, the $6 million Breeders' Cup Classic, takes place Churchill Downs in Louisville, Kentucky, on Saturday. In any race, the horses are only part of the story. Jockeys try to push their animals to victory with the risk of injury at every turn. Jamie Yuccas recently caught up with one injured athlete determined to ride again.

Matthew Houck, the singer-songwriter known as Phosphorescent, used to listen to Willie Nelson's music from the back seat of his parent's car. He went on to learn guitar and started playing small bars and restaurants. In 2013, he released a breakthrough album, "Muchacho." After a five-year wait, his seventh studio album is now out. "C’est La Vie" was recorded in Nashville and released just last month.
