At least 15 children killed in Haiti orphanage fire

At least 15 children were killed when a fire swept through a Haitian children's home run by a Pennsylvania-based religious nonprofit group, officials said Friday. Rose-Marie Louis, a child-care worker at the home, said the fire began around 9 p.m. Thursday and firefighters took about 90 minutes to arrive.

Public memorial announced for Kobe Bryant and daughter Gianna

The date has been set for the final goodbye to Kobe Bryant and his teen daughter Gianna. Limited tickets are available for a February 24 public memorial at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. They were among nine people killed in a helicopter crash in January.

Coronavirus-quarantined cruise passengers battle illness, boredom

The U.S. is expected to send a plane to Japan to bring back citizens that had been quarantined on the cruise ship “Diamond Princess” due to the coronavirus. So far, the outbreak has led to over 1,500 deaths in China alone. However to some passengers, boredom is a far bigger battle than the illness is. Police officer questions why she’s taking Florida girl to mental facility in new video

New police body camera video shows a police deputy openly questioning why she and another officer are taking a 6-year-old Florida girl to a mental health facility after the girl’s school said she was being disruptive.
