Most election prediction shops and public polls in recent days foresaw Republican Donald Trump losing the U.S. presidential race to Democrat Hillary Clinton.

The presidential election brought in a wave of Twitter activity on Tuesday with 75 million tweets posted about it around the world.

I glibly wrote a blog post Sunday saying how confident I was that data was pointing to a Hillary Clinton win. Pretty much all the polls were showing that; almost all serious political data analysts and models said the same.

With all the streaming devices out there these days, getting video from the internet to your TV isn't difficult. Deciding which device makes the most sense for you, though, is a whole other story.

Microsoft announced last Friday that it is bringing Access, the personal database program from its Office productivity suite, to Office 365 Business and Business Premium plans. It has been available for other 365 subscriptions, including ProPlus, E3 and E5 subscriptions, and the consumer plans.

In yet more proof of the disconnect between the Android-loving media and the iPhone-loving public, the latest data claims Apple’s new iPhone 7 models are the best selling smartphones in both the US and UK.

President-elect Donald Trump realized early in his campaign that U.S. IT workers were angry over training foreign visa-holding replacements. He knew this anger was volcanic.

Like Google, Microsoft has been differentiating its products by adding machine learning features. In the case of Cortana, those features are speech recognition and language parsing. In the case of Bing, speech recognition and language parsing are joined by image recognition. Google’s underlying machine learning technology is TensorFlow. Microsoft’s is the Cognitive Toolkit.
