State police have received a number on complaints where people across the county have been contacted by callers posing to be utility company workers. They tell the residents that service will be shut off if payment information is not given to the caller. State Police in Meadville say utility companies would not make these type of calls. Police encourage citizens to not provide any personal or banking information over the phone to callers, like this.
