Resort outside Mali’s capital under attack | Reuters

DAKAR A luxury resort popular with Western expatriates outside Mali's capital Bamako came under attack by gunmen on Sunday, a spokesman at the Security Ministry said. He had no further details of the attack on Le Campement resort in Dougourakoro, to the east of the capital Bamako, but said it was still going on.

Sri Lanka arrests monk, police officer for anti-Muslim violence | Reuters

COLOMBO Sri Lankan police have arrested four people including a Buddhist monk and a police officer accused of taking part in an attack on a mosque, as part of a crackdown on violence against the minority Muslim population. Police said on Sunday the four were members of the hardline Bodu Bala Sena (BBS) or Buddhist Power Force organisation, which Muslim groups have blamed for a string of recent attacks on businesses and mosques
