St. Patrick’s Athletic’s Michael Noonan hit a hat-trick as Paul Osam’s side cruised to victory over the Greeks to end the competition as runners up.
 
Billy Hayes, Grady McDonnell and Sam Steward also got on the scoresheet with the win the side’s seventh victory of the season.

After beating South Korea in the first of two international friendly games, James Scott's team wanted to end the eight-day camp on a high. And that is exactly what they did.

An own goal and a Michael Noonan penalty completed the second-half turn around after Dominic Zajac gave the Czech the lead five minutes into the second half.

The final, which is set to be held at the Aviva Stadium on Wednesday, May 22, requires a huge volunteer force to help stage one of the biggest sporting events in Europe and UEFA are looking for you to get involved in a range of different ways.

The International Friendly will take place on Tuesday, February 27 with kick-off set for 19:30. The game will be broadcast live on RTÉ2.
 
The 17th meeting between the teams – and the first since a 1-0 win at the Pinatar Cup in February 2022 – will be the second game in the international window with an away fixture to be announced soon.

All the goals came in the second half with Ozam Demirbag bagging a brace for Türkiye and St. Patrick’s Athletic’s Michael Noonan netting his eighth international goal of the season for Paul Osam’s side. Galatasaray forward Furkan Koçak wrapped the game up late on as the MU16s suffered only their second defeat of the season.

Up against a physically imposing Australian side, Jason Donohue’s squad had to battle a visiting team almost two years their senior and gale force winds at the FAI National Training Centre, Abbotstown.
 
Cork City’s David Dunne topped off an excellent display for the young Boys in Green with Ireland’s only goal but it was two strikes from Munib Smajic and a nicely controlled finished from Riley Zsuzsa that saw the Australians come out on top.

The Irish were dealt a blow with the late withdrawal of Brian Cunningham (Presentation College, Headford) due to injury. The Galway youngster featured in last year’s contest and his 90th minute heroics saw the hosts snatch a 2-1 victory at the death.

It proved to be a good run-out for the Young Girls in Green, facing a fast and skilful South Korean team in Estádio Dr. Alves Vieira .

In last season’s outing, the Irish managed an extraordinary 2-1 victory as Eoin Kenny (St. Mary’s College, Dundalk) netted a fabulous opener with 51 minutes registered. However, the celebrations were short lived as Will Freney equalised two minutes later with a sublime set piece to the top corner.  Brian Cunningham (Presentation College, Headford) was only on the park 15 minutes when he struck what proved to be the match winner in the 90th minute to add to the late drama.
