James Harden made a floater to tie it at 107, Marcus Smart missed a 3 and we’re heading to overtime.
Harden’s up to 39 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists on 15-20 shooting, and he pretty much carried the Sixers by himself in that 4th. – 6:04 PM

After 4: Sixers 107, Celtics 107.
James Harden’s runner ties it with 15 seconds to go, and then Marcus Smart’s 3 to win it at the buzzer was on line – but short.
Still, with Embiid looking absolutely exhausted, feels like advantage Boston heading to the extra five minutes. – 6:04 PM

We’re headed to overtime. Celtics had a chance to win it, but Marcus Smart’s shot is off the mark as time expires. James Harden got the game-tying bucket. – 6:03 PM

Marcus Smart, who’s active tonight after spraining his left ankle (the opposite of the one he’s battled in recent years), is going through film w/ assistant Jarell Christian while getting treatment on the training board at the same time. Multi-tasking. – 2:24 PM

Boston has looked to cut off passing lanes for Harden when he comes off screens while still staying between him and the basket, encouraging him to take midrange jumpers. That, however, is not Harden’s game and his indecisiveness has shown. “I think [Mazzulla] handled it great, very professional,” Celtics defensive ace Marcus Smart told ESPN. “He didn’t go and try to argue. OK, he got outcoached. Now it’s time to make adjustments. That’s what the playoffs are about. And that’s what a great coach, a great team and great players do.” -via ESPN / May 7, 2023
