76ers hopeful Joel Embiid will return tomorrow from injury
Austin Krell: Joel Embiid was a full participant at practice today and Nick Nurse is “hopeful” he’ll be able to play tomorrow. Kelly Oubre Jr was a full participant, as well. Robert Covington did not participate. Sounds like he remains day-to-day with the knee swelling.

In Friday’s 112-93 win over the Sacramento Kings, Maxey handled the blitzes he received with ease and he did a great job of getting the Sixers into a rhythm. That is an area he has improved in at a high level to help Philadelphia succeed without Embiid. “I think we’re kind of getting used to it,” Maxey said. “A lot of times when big fella doesn’t play, or during the rotations where he’s out the game, that’s what defenses have kind of gone to. The blitz, and the faceguard, different things like that. It’s just me kind of getting used to it.” -via Sixers Wire / January 13, 2024
