Hawks looking for two first rounders for Dejounte Murray?
What’s the buzz on Twitter?

The Nets are a team to “keep an eye on” as a serious Dejounte Murray suitor, per @WindhorstESPN (podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/bri…).

My take on Dejounte Murray, Nets rumors:
I’d seriously consider it if the cost is as low as one 1st-round pick and salary fillers. That’s the kind of add Brooklyn should be looking to make this season, if any.
A chance to revitalize Murray’s value. Door open to flip him later. – 2:33 PM

More on this storyline
Paul Garcia: Dejounte Murray on the Spurs being one of the teams with interest in trading for him via TNT broadcast: “Pop is like a father to me, I would welcome that. But right now, I’m a Hawk, I’m going to stay professional and play the right way.” -via Twitter @PaulGarciaNBA / January 15, 2024
Erik Slater: Brian Windhorst said on The Hoop Collective that he would “keep an eye on the Nets” in Dejounte Murray trade negotiations. Lakers and Knicks also in the mix. -via Twitter @erikslater_ / January 15, 2024
The overly optimistic extensions for Capela (one more year left at $22.2 million) and Hunter (three years left after this one for a total of $70 million) also have handcuffed the Hawks’ team-building. Part of the appeal of trading Murray just months after he agreed to a four-year, $114 million extension is that his contract could be the bait to stuff Capela or especially Hunter into a deal. On the other hand, there’s little chance they get anything close to what they gave up to acquire him. -via The Athletic / January 14, 2024
