ATOKA COUNTY, Okla. – Authorities say a 20-year-old man has been arrested following the death of his father. On Thursday evening, deputies with the Atoka County Sheriff’s Office were called to a home in the 500 block of S. Bentley Rd. in Atoka following a reported shooting. MEAD, Okla. – An Oklahoma community is coming together to help a family who was injured when their home suddenly exploded in October. Around 8:30 a.m. on Oct. 16, firefighters were called to a home  along N. Ranchette Rd. in Mead after witnesses reported an explosion. Supporters of an initiative petition to ask voters to legalize medical marijuana gathered enough signatures last year to schedule a statewide referendum on the measure, known as State Question 788. OKLAHOMA CITY – A Tulsa dentist accused of killing an Oklahoma City baby is now accused of attempting to hire someone from inside jail to murder the child’s mother. 19-month old Lincoln Lewis was killed in July 2016. Tulsa dentist Bert Franklin is sitting in the Oklahoma County Jail accused of the murder. STILLWATER, Okla. – A Stillwater woman is accused of abandoning her diabetic and nearly blind husband, leaving him to die and his body to go undiscovered for months. Jennifer Denton, 36, was arrested in Sayre last week, but court records do not show that formal charges have been filed. CVS is buying health insurance giant Aetna, the companies announced Sunday. If approved, the $69 billion acquisition – $77 billion including debt – would drastically remap the health care industry.
