PHOENIX – Phoenix police investigators are testing DNA samples from men who work at a Phoenix nursing facility in response to a vegetative patient giving birth there last week, according to KPHO. OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma County Sheriff’s investigators are conducting the death inquiry after a female inmate was found unresponsive in her cell. After she was discovered on Tuesday, detention staff immediately began life saving measures. EMSA and Oklahoma City fire personnel continued those efforts and transported her to OU Medical Center. OKLAHOMA CITY – A Guthrie couple has been arrested by the OSBI after the mother’s 13-month-old sustained a head injury. Justin Lastra, 30, called 911 just before 10 a.m. Tuesday to report the child fell. The child was treated at Mercy Hospital Logan County, and transferred to OU Medical Center with non-accidental abusive head trauma. The child’s mother, Michelle King, 28, and Lastra were arrested at the Guthrie Police Department for child abuse. The OSBI continues to investigate the matter.

SPENCER, Okla. – A man is still on the loose following a wild crime spree in Spencer. It all started at about noon Tuesday near Northeast 23rd and North Post Road. Police say Ryan Kidder is still on the run after being put in cuffs and then stealing a cop car. Police were called out to a man stealing electricity by hooking up jumper cables to the power lines. OKLAHOMA CITY – Authorities are responding to a shooting that occurred Tuesday afternoon near NE 45th and Prospect. Police say a small grey car was driving down the street when the male suspect stopped the car, got out, and fired several rounds at the victim. Then the suspect got back into his car and fled the scene, driving westbound. Officials say the victim received non-life threatening injuries to the hip. There is no suspect description at this time.

OKLAHOMA CITY – Drivers in northwest Oklahoma City who often take a busy roadway may need to find an alternate route later this week. After Tuesday’s evening rush hour, crews will close N.W. 10th St. between Broadway and Oklahoma Ave. for emergency railroad track repairs. Officials estimate the construction will last about a week.
