ARKOMA (KFSM) –Investigation reports regarding the fire that killed three children in Arkoma have been released by the State Medical Examiner’s Office of Oklahoma. The fire happened about 4 a.m., Oct. 19, on Lowery Street. Reports were issued for 19-month-old Bentley Fields, 7-year-old Brianna Tanner and 11-year-old Braden Tanner, were all sleeping in the same. FAYETTEVILLE (KFSM) — A Washington County Deputy shot and killed a man who threatened him with a knife on Wednesday afternoon (Dec. 21). FORT SMITH (KFSM) — A serial bank robber is the suspect in the Chambers Bank robbery on Tuesday (Dec. 20). The man robbed four banks in Dallas, Texas between Dec. 12-16, according to a press release. SPRINGDALE (KFSM) — A Springdale couple was arrested on suspicion of animal cruelty on Tuesday (Dec. 20). Stacey DeLeon, 46, and Timothy Triggs, 42, are facing aggravated animal cruelty charges, according to a press release. On Dec. 16, the landlord of a N. HEALTHWATCH – A new report claims that the US is not ready for emerging threats like Zika, Ebola, and bio-terrorism. According to Trusts for America’s Health, 26 states in the District of Columbia scored a 6 or lower in key indicators of public health preparedness. FORT SMITH (KFSM) — A Fort Smith man was sentenced to spend 10 years in federal prison on Wednesday (Dec. 21) after he pleaded guilty to sex trafficking a minor. FAYETTEVILLE (KFSM) — The Fayetteville City Council approved a federal grant on Tuesday (Dec. 20) that will cover some of the cost associated with police body cameras. The 50/50 grant from the U.S. Department of Justice and will divvy up $186,496 to both Fayetteville and Springdale Police Departments, along with the Washington County Sheriff’s Office.
