Louisiana Wildlife and Fisheries agents are stressing boating safety throughout this Fourth of July weekend. Operation Dry Water is a nationwide campaign encouraging people to not operate boats while intoxicated. The campaign will run through this weekend. Sergeant Thomas Ashley says on average, two, sometimes three agents are assigned per parish to patrol the waterways.
