The suspect in the July 23 stabbing on St. Antoine St. that killed a 57-year-old man has surrendered himself to authorities, according to Lafayette Police.

Detectives with the Acadia Parish Sheriff's Office are still looking for the suspect in a June 6 shooting on I-10 that injured two people and killed one.

Things appear to be getting out of hand at the Humanitarian Respite Center in Downtown McAllen. Despite a plea from officials for Border Patrol to stop dropping off migrants, the buses continue to come. The Center announced Monday that it would stop taking in new people, at least temporarily. Groups of migrants have spilled on the streets. Businesses are starting to call the police. And the bus terminal and outgoing buses are packed.
