Man killed in go-kart crash in St. Helena Parish
The Louisiana State Police are investigating an incident where a man was killed in a go-kart crash on Saturday afternoon.
ST. HELENA PARISH, La. (BRPROUD) — The Louisiana State Police are investigating an incident where a man was killed in a go-kart crash on Saturday afternoon.
According to LSP, shortly before 2 p.m., troopers were responding to a crash on LA Highway 16 near Leonard Chapel Road in St. Helena Parish.
During an investigation, troopers learned that Timothy Larkin, 38, of Amite, was headed east on a go-kart on Hwy 16. The go-kart then traveled off the road and hit a sign. Police said Larkin received serious injuries and was then taken to a local hospital where he later died.
This is an ongoing investigation.
