Victim hospitalized after being shot, carjacked in Acadia Parish
Michael Lee Duplechian, 30, of Carencro currently has warrants out for his arrest. Authorities described him as 5 foot, 9 inches tall, weighing 150 pounds.
ACADIA PARISH, La. (KLFY)-- A simple request turned dangerous after someone got shot and got their vehicle carjacked in Acadia Parish. The Acadia Parish Sheriff's Office is currently investigating this carjacking and attempted second degree murder case.
On Monday around 11 p.m., the victim was asked to drop off the suspect at a home on Nation Road near Rayne. After making it to the residence, the suspect pulled out a firearm and firmly told the victim to give him the vehicle.
Once the victim said no, the suspect shot the victim and drove away from the scene in the victim's vehicle, a Silver, 2012 Audie A4 with a black hood, front and grill, as well as black tires. The victim was hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries, according to authorities.
