Storms possible through the weekend, cooler with sunshine returning early next week

It won't rain all day, but scattered storms will be possible as multiple waves of upper-level energy move overhead.
An active weather pattern begins today and will continue through the duration of the weekend. A front will move through Sunday, which will clear us out for Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday of next week.
For today, storm chances will be increasing through the afternoon and evening hours. It won't rain all day, but scattered storms will be possible as multiple waves of upper-level energy move overhead. Timing of these waves can be difficult and models can struggle in this regard, but the latest models show one wave coming in later this afternoon and another wave later tonight. Overall, I'll put storm chances at around 50% for today and tomorrow.
A low-end threat of severe storms will be present as well with the main hazards being damaging winds and hail.
I am expecting a similar weather pattern tomorrow with scattered storms possible through the day, maybe more so across northern Acadiana and central Louisiana.
Our highest storm chance, and coverage, will occur on Sunday with storm chances of 70%. This is when the main front will move through.
Once it does, cooler weather will be moving in early next week. Highs will be in the mid-upper 60s Monday and Tuesday, with lows in the 40s Tuesday and Wednesday morning!
