Carencro man identified as suspect in Cecilia ATM theft
Authorities are seeking Trevon Brooks, 27, of Carencro on charges of theft of a motor vehicle, simple burglary and aggravated criminal property damage.
CECILIA, La. (KLFY) -- Investigators with the St. Martin Parish Sheriff’s Office are asking for the public's help in finding a suspect wanted in connection with a January ATM theft In Cecilia.
Authorities are seeking Trevon Brooks, 27, of Carencro on charges of theft of a motor vehicle, simple burglary and aggravated criminal property damage.
On Jan. 23, at approximately 2 a.m., investigators say suspects used a red 1997 Ford pickup that was stolen from a nearby business to burglarize the T-Cochon Store located in the 2200 block of Cecilia Sr. High School Hwy., in Cecilia. The suspects backed the stolen truck into the front doors to gain access to an ATM inside the store, authorities said.
Authorities believe that the suspects are also responsible for other ATM thefts in the area.
The investigation remains ongoing and anyone with information as to the whereabouts of Trevon Brooks, or the other suspects wanted in connection with this crime, is asked to report it to St. Martin Crime Stoppers by calling 337-441-3030, or via the free P3 Tips App.
