Heavy rain likely this morning, clearing out and turning cooler tomorrow
Storm Team 10 radar is lighting up this morning with heavy rainfall across the area. The heaviest rainfall should remain along and south of I-10. Storms could produce rainfall rates of 1.5-2 inches per hour and contain frequent lightning. A low-end threat of severe storms with the strongest storm activity capable of producing quarter-sized hail and/or gusty winds.
The majority of the rainfall should move through before Noon with activity becoming more scattered during the afternoon. Rainfall will end later tonight with winds turning northerly.
Clouds slowly clear out tomorrow as drier air moves in from the north. Temperatures will be much cooler tomorrow with a Monday morning start in the low-mid 50s and highs Monday afternoon in the mid-60s. Tuesday morning could see lows in the upper 30s to lower 40s, only rising into the lower 60s during the afternoon!
