Two Louisiana school principals arrested, accused of theft; third under investigation

SHREVEPORT, LA. (KTAL/KMSS)—Three Louisiana school principals allegedly made personal purchases using school funds, which led to an investigation by the Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office.
Caddo Parish Schools confirmed that former Werner Park Elementary Principal Raquel Fuggins is no longer employed with the school district after her arrest Wednesday.
On Thursday, the Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office confirmed that Marco French, who is currently on administrative leave from his duties as Principal of Queensborough Elementary School, turned himself in at the Caddo Correctional Center on one count of felony theft.
CPSO Cpl Ty Moore-King confirmed the identities of the principals.
Jackie Lansdale, President of the Caddo Teachers Union, confirmed, "The school board investigated three principals, and they reported them—as they should. A principal from North Highlands resigned, and a principal at Queensborough is on leave."
Landale expressed in a compassionate tone that she believes in due process, "I think she was a great principal, but there are always two sides to every story."
CPSO confirmed that there is another active investigation involving a third principal but did not release their name.
This is an ongoing investigation.
