Digging through campaign finance records, we found several board members, appointed by the governor, who have collectively donated hundreds of thousands of dollars to Abbott's campaign, according to records dating back to 2014.

Jupiter's moon Europa could be suitable for life, UT research says

A recent study of Jupiter’s moon, Europa, showed that radiolytic oxidants made at the surface of its ice can travel to the ocean beneath its ice shell, according to a team of researchers led by the University of Texas at Austin. This means that the icy moon could be suitable for alien life.



Funeral for former UTPD chief set for Wednesday

Family, friends remember Austin graffiti artist killed while riding on scooter

Police confirmed that Adam Gaconnet, 32, died on April 29 when a vehicle struck him, as he rode a scooter home from work during the early morning hours. The crash happened on East Seventh Street between Allen and Gunter Streets, which is now decorated in honor of Gaconnet by those who knew him best.
