A campaign to rename the Almaden Branch Library and Community Center in honor of the late District 10 councilwoman Pat Dando has lots of public backing but not all neighbors are thrilled about it. Following a Jan. 17 invite-only meeting set up by San Jose Councilman Johnny Khamis’ office with about half a dozen neighborhood representatives, Almaden Senior Association president Bill Hubka wrote in a letter that the process is being rushed and overlooking the contributions of the entire Almaden Valley community.



County gives $1 million to build special playground at Willow Glen Park
