Broadcom pledges 5G commitment to keep Qualcomm offer on track

Broadcom said Wednesday it will work to make the U.S. the world's leader in 5G mobile technology, and also pledged $1.5 billion to set up a fund to train and educate American engineers. The moves are aimed at winning over governmental support for Broadcom's proposed $117 billion acquisition of Qualcomm.

Bay Area homeowners hit hardest in new federal tax law
