Royce Richards, 38, accepted a plea deal to six years in prison after pleading no contest to four counts of assault and false imprisonment, one for each woman he was accused of attacking.

Westerly Police Chief Paul Gingerella said police were dispatched to the front of the home to investigate reports of a trespasser outside the gates. The woman had been previously warned to stay away from the property, Gingerella said.
