Bay Area News Group girls athlete of the week: Angelinah De Leon, Santa Clara wrestling
De Leon, a junior, finished as the runner-up in the 155-pound CIF championship division.
Santa Clara wrestler Angelinah De Leon is the Bay Area News Group’s girls athlete of the week for Feb. 19-24.
In online voting that ended at 5 p.m. Wednesday, De Leon had 39.26% to finish ahead of San Ramon soccer player Ella Beardslee, who was second at 33.30%.

De Leon, a junior, finished as the runner-up in the 155-pound CIF championship division. De Leon won the CCS wrestling title the previous week.
