Governor Sonko hosts a dinner party for top-notch medics visiting the City County
Nairobi City County Governor His Excellency Mike Mbuvi Sonko last night hosted a dinner party for various medical practitioners visiting the City County. The dinner party which was hosted at Panari Hotel was organised courtesy of Governor Mike Sonko as an appreciation to the team. Vesca Kangogo CEC Devolution took us through the program. The night was filled with colour, pomp and fun.
The medical teams comprise of UNICEF representatives and the International Help Of People Everywhere IHOPE- America. The medical teams have specifically visited the County of Nairobi on a voluntary basis and are treating people FREE of charge at our Nairobi City County hospitals and dispensaries. IHOPE team comprising of Oncologists, Gynecologist, Surgeons, Orthopedic, Pediatricians among other health experts. The experts have already put medical camps in various county facilities to train and offer medical help to the people of Nairobi.

The UNICEF team drawn from Nigeria, Liberia, Senegal, Zimbabwe, Uganda and Sierra Leone in partnership with Pumwani hospital have trained 30 participants of Kangaroo Mother Care facilities.
Speaking at the dinner, the Chief Officer for health Dr.Mahat said the county was very proud to have received medical practitioners who have really helped Nairobi citizens.
