Devils Advocate - have flicked past this so many times, for some reason I watched it today, and what a film! I wouldn't describe it as a horror, just very strange.

Think you are correct but then Hetherington is so far up RFL only his feet are showing, therefore any income it generates will be straight his deep pockets. RFL funded Leeds for years with semis and final venues.

more fake news....since 2000 Headingley has staged 3 CC semis, 2000,2002 and 2015

Hull FC - blackandwhites.co.uk • Contract Talks & FCs Future

Wynn & Johnstone better than Shaul & Houghton ???? We really have been away toooooooooooo long !

Straight swap would really weaken us, lets not pretend otherwise. Both would need backup recruiting & guess what, their contracts will undoubtedly be linked to appearances. So 20 appearances will probably double their money anyhow.

Suggest we leave the finances to those who are paying the bills.

IMO the backlash against Club Hull is overstated. Fully agree that both have... Читать дальше...

I also think another reason the game flows better in the NRL is that their players are more disciplined than SL players, and work better with the refs, givings them (the refs) an easier time. Tackling players remaining in the ruck area are often unpenalised as dummy-halves play to the spirit of the laws and just get on with it, rather than trying to milk a penalty. Dissent seems rarer, and when it does happen over there, it is punished with an extra 10. And I think all... Читать дальше...

canberra play split halves so Ruddy Duck is saying they have him playing in the right position and Wigan didnt but we play split halves also so was wondering how is it different like he claims

Good luck to him if it comes off. He’s been a pretty good player for us and did a job when we needed him. A weird negativity seems to surround the guy from some fans because he dares to be on a good deal and won’t walk away from it. Who would do that?

I'd like to think that I would.

Escare sitting out this season doesn't benefit anyone. Surely the best move would be to take a pay cut and back yourself to perform and earn another big contract?... Читать дальше...

No,you didn't provide any link - otherwise I guess it may have led to plenty of discussion.

Inclined to agree to an extent about Salford. I often wonder if Marwan wouldn’t have walked in waving his “wand” around buying over the bill, over expensive players and had actually done it right where they’d be. It’d be a damn sight better off from where they’re going anyway. Andy Ackers is a championship standard hooker at best, but on the flip side they do have some decent players and are more than capable of beating anyone in the league. The proposed signing of Escare is good IMO. He was decent... Читать дальше...

Wakefield Trinity • George &Toby king on Back Chat

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

Just watched this week’s episode on YouTube. George was understandably Coy when asked about leaving Trinity and where he’s going. He thinks the salary cap, should be abolished, but Toby doesn’t, using the argument of players now having to take pay cuts, but some clubs signing big name players. The program is rugby related, so it’s worth a listen.

I’d ignore them, as I do anyway, and look at the excess mortality. Then at least you’re looking at differences in circumstances and performance (largely circumstances) rather than differences in counting. Cuts through all the bs and statistical sophistry.

This is a public health emergency more than a political issue. Читать дальше...

The Virtual Terrace • Day 68: Who Am I?

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

Each day we will give you three clues to the identity of a player who has played in Super League (at some point since 1996). You have to work out who the player is from the clues and submit your guess. There may be more than one correct answer, but you have to get the one that we have sealed in a virtual envelope.

Once the player has been correctly guessed then we will post on the thread, the thread will stay open until he is guessed or everyone loses interest. We’ll keep a running tally of correct guessers. Читать дальше...
