Sounds like it isn’t. Bit of an odd one, either way, for a player who’ll be 34 early next season.

I thought maybe it’d be something triggered if he played enough games during in the first 2 years, which might be unlikely anyway.

I looked back at the article on the club's website about him signing and it says "an option of a third year" but doesn't actually explicitly say in the club's favour.

I believe Luke Gale's contract triggers a... Читать дальше...

Everton have a very tough run in but they also have a lot of good players in their squad, they’re by far the strongest team in the bottom half of the table on paper but let’s see, they’ll be nervous that’s for sure. Burnley have some fixtures where they’ll pick up points no doubt but they’ve been poor last two games and could effect confidence.
Be nice if we can get Dallas moved from right back Thursday, he’s been a liability there last few games and Ayling all over shop at centre back. Читать дальше...

The Virtual Terrace • Brad Takairangi Hull KR Drink Driving

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

Takairangi has been stood down by the Robins as he awaits a hearing at Hull Crown Court on March 31st.
The 32 year old Australian drove his vehicle in the opposite direction on the A63 in Kingston Upon Hull and collided with a Humberside Police Vehicle.
Takairangi was over the DD limit and was arrested at the scene.
I have no sympathy for him he could have potentially caused a fatality. I expect the usual lame excuses from his legal representative, Mental Health etc etc there is no excuse for what he did. Читать дальше...

Totally agree Lefty.
Gleeson was a class act. The whole thread is based on twaddle. Briers/Gleeson brilliant.

Halifax Panthers • Last night's match

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

Watched Widnes v Barrow on Premier Sports last night and what a good game it was. The first thing to say is how the hell did we manage to lose to Widnes? But Barrow on the other hand were fantastic, a real breath of fresh air. Not the best defensively but going forwards a right handful. They will beat a few more teams in this division and Fax will need to be on top form to take points off them. A really good match and a great advert for the Championship.

Not been playing, not sure if he was injured.

Leeds have nearly as many key men out as us, but the short turnaround, will kill us, we'll that and the fact we aren't very good.

Wigan Warriors • Toulouse game.

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

Not a fan of the Wigan TV commentary. Bilko is fine but Joe Mills resembles one of those self-entitled fans who instantly overreacts and throws his toys out of the pram when something goes wrong. You wouldn't see the level of criticism he gives to the team/individuals from neutral commentators so not good to see it on Wigan TV.

[quoitte="Irregs#16"]Not enought to be peddling your hate of Connor on the FC forum, you've now moved to the VT![/quote]
No just a point why exactly he's not in the England squad

Full backs are supposed to be able to tackle when a player breaks the line Connor never stops anyone

You was obviously loving Connor when Eden made him look daft though

Didn't notice at the time but even smith stepped him for the first try

Are we all looking forward to our trip to McManus Drive WA9 this Friday? I know I am, can't wait....

Will Powelly rally his troops following last week's unexpected mauvais spectacle, given that we are a team who's new motto should be Accepit Provocationem or have the bookies given us too much 'credit' with our top scorer sat on the sidelines amongst our other apparent issues?

You decide and good luck

Sorry, I wasn't referring to individual performances last week, I meant it more in the context of how we change going forward. I think Walker is the typical Powell player - not outstanding, but above average and prepared to let Powell mould him and would relish the leadership challenge. We've seen Powell do that with Gale and McShane to name a couple.

I don't think there's any immediate fix... Читать дальше...

People were queuing up from 30mins before kick off which is ridiculous. Surely the more people in the ground earlier means more sales at the bars/food outlets?

the pre season game versus Leeds was a shambles as any fool could've seen that we needed more gates open. To have problems vs Batley shows the back office in a bad light. It's a good job we're unlikely to get further in the cup as a big home draw versus a SL team could've seen chaos on a much bigger stage. Читать дальше...

Hull FC • Round 5 - Leeds

Anyone's guess how this one will go, Leeds look as inconsistent as us.
Typically we are looking pretty threadbare in the backs now we have some forwards back.
I am hoping for a reaction but we've been here a hundred times before so not holding my breath.

Hull FC • Re: Josh Reynolds

OK, so we can give him the slight benefit of doubt with his attacking play as he hasn't had settled partners.

What about his defence, statiscally the worst defender in SL, missing the most tables, average 5 misses a game and only 60% completion rate.

Not watched the highlights but I think Shorrocks charged down a kick late on and collected the rebound to set us up so not calling the lad but hooker is now probably the key position for the best teams. You can’t have a make do player at hooker it just doesn’t work. I think the call was Shorrocks or O’Neil for the bench and Peet got it wrong. With Catalan on the horizon I’d find it difficult to believe that the plan was to play Powell for the 80 against a very average Toulouse outfit. Читать дальше...
