[SAU Bees] Kistler named Senior Woman Administrator

Athletic Director Mike Holmes announced the hiring of Kris Kistler as Senior Woman Administrator/Director of Compliance today. In her role at St. Ambrose, Kistler will be responsible for NAIA eligibility and oversee team compliance with NAIA regulations. As the SWA, she will onboard new hires, assure gender equity, and promote student-athlete well-being. She will also coordinate game day activities. 

"As an institution with more than 900 athletes, it is important for us to evolve and be sure that we are providing a great experience to everyone. Our new Senior Woman Administrator position ensures that we will have an experienced advocate for our women coaches, athletes, and programs," said Holmes. 

Kistler joins St. Ambrose after serving as the Senior Woman Administrator and Head Softball Coach at Augustana College in Rock Island, Ill. While coaching at Augustana, Kistler led the softball program to a 548-338-3 record, making her the winningest coach in program history. 

"I am extremely excited to start the next phase of my career at St. Ambrose University," said Kistler. "I have always had a great deal of respect for SAU, athletically and academically, and have only become more impressed through the interview process. I think this will be a great fit!"
