Garry's season dilemma
So far, all season long he has dismissed our chances and said that our aim for the season is to improve on 2 back to back relegation battles.
Which is fine. I get it. I've got no problem with him talking it down when nobody fancied us to be where we are by January.
But at the same time we are joint 7th in the table. Safety, which was the initial aim for the season looks done and dusted even if we were hit with a points deduction.
I think anyone that knows anything about football would agree that we aren't going down even if we get deducted points.
We are 17 points and a goal difference light years ahead of the 3 bottom teams after 26 games. Safety is done, finished, completed, finito.
So if you aren't going down, then you have nothing to lose by trying to achieve something.
And the only 2 options are going on an FA cup run or promotion out of the Championship.
Which is more likely to materialise Garry and which one is going to help the club more?
Winning the FA Cup or clinching a top 6 place?
Pick the latter Garry. But go out gracefully tomorrow.
We have nothing to lose by trying and nobody is going to moan if we come short.
Keep right on.
