Roberts - 6 - comfortable with the long stuff, but looks leaden footed
Morrison - 6 - Struggled with the movement of Sordell all game
Grounds - 3 - An absolutely horrendous performance. Needs replacing ASAP
Davis - 6 - linked up well for the goal, and put in a good shift, but can't play wide right

Grounds is a centre half getting by at left back. He's petrified by pace and agility; we must have 5/6 attacking moves break down when he gets the ball high up the pitch and just lays it back or gets dispossessed. Tonight instead of getting tight on Sordell for their first goal, he dangles a leg in half heartedly and gets turned.

What's your point? Plenty of players aren't technically gifted, but positionally excellent and athletic.
A team of talented footballers without any physicality doesn't get you very far (unless you're Barca 2008-12) and a team of physical players without technical ability doesn't get you far either.
You need a bit of both in your team.

I hope he plays on the left if we get him. Look at tonight with 2 units like Juke and Donno up front. Crosses whipped into them will cause most defences problems if they come with enough regularity. I just feel Mags cutting inside is too predictable and teams will set up constantly to push him out wide knowing he can't cross too good. Hope I'm wrong but just haven't seen him improve that in the time we've had him
To be brutally honest, yer analysis is flawed. It's pretty well established that foreign johnnies, even the best of 'em, the 40 million quid brigade, need time to adapt, and that's in teams that know how to play the fecking game.
