Was our major undoing in the winter.

We was on decent form, I think 4 wins, 3 draws and only 1 loss from late December - and then Cotterill decides to send out the 2nd string against Huddersfield in the replay, we lose, we lost any momentum we had and we never recovered. We wouldn't win again until Monk came in.

For me not many cover versions are better than the original. It's unusual, but not impossible, for the reinterpretation of the song to find something better than the original. Especially if the original was done by the person or people who wrote it.

I exclude standards from this definition to be fair, as a standard is fair game.

Even though I think " Ruby Tuesday " is one of the Stones best recordings , Melanie's version is better . Also Chris Farlowe's version of " Out of time " is better than The Stones version and ( in my opinion ) is one of the best records of the sixties .
