Really was ????. We beat a tough Stoke team away 1-0 and I then thought, geez we’re half decent. Only thing that hindered that unbeaten run at home was we changed up our team a bit once we looked safe (dropped Benitez, slotted McFadden behind the striker and played Fahey on the left) and our form away dipped a bit. Bowyer, Ferguson, Carr, Hart, Dann, Johnson were something else that year.
Suspect he will be there for Saturday at least, haven't heard anything on Roberts injury but doubt he'll be back this year
Apologies if this has been done before, but I reckon he looked pretty good in central defence on Saturday - he won the ball cleanly on several occasions, used his pace well and distributed it out from the back better than what we've become accustomed to. Should he get a run of games in that position?
And he only wears them like that to show off his calf muscles, the ponce.
Been watching some of our old season review dvd’s as of late and YouTube vids and it seems so long ago we were in the top tier. We did take a few scalps especially off Liverpool but one we could never get was United. I remember closest was we drew 1-1 I think? Played them off the park and I’m sure Rooneys goal should’ve been offside? Can’t quite remember.
