Anybody going this week?
Had tickets for Saturday but just tested positive for covid, thought I was going to get away with it after all this time, but that’s life eh.

Much will depend on what the managerial merry-go-round throws up in coming weeks.
There has to be a very good chance Solksjaer will be ousted from Man Utd. Brendan Rodgers seems to be letting it be known he would happily take on that job.
I don't think this is just me being anti-Witton but, if I was Gerrard, I would take Leicester over Witton if coming back down to England. I could imagine Rodgers recommending him too.
Just heard that the Taliban (vile swines that they are) have changed their views on outside help, specifically aid agencies. That's important for those in need
Famine caused by the conflict, drought and other socioeconomic issues, is to effect millions of children and adults.
So, if you can afford it, please give to the World Food Programme, Disaster Emergency Committee or UNICEF.
Thanks.
And who created trained and funded the Taliban, and which nations, having said, this time we won’t walk away, walked away?

Just spotted this on YT, I remember this game so well, great weather, great performance especially by Mike Hellawell, Burnley had won the
league a couple of years earlier and as the commentator says were runners up in the league and cup in the previous year.
Alao notable is Dennis Thwaites as an 18 year old, Dennis tragically killed in the Tunisian terrorist attack of 2015. I think it's the only recording i've seen showing Dennis.

Wasn’t one of the issues with then trying to recruit a decent manager, the fact that wanted a clause that the manager would leave if they were relegated?
I hope he’s a massive failure. They deserve each other
Whilst i'm quite aware that the Evening Mail rarely reports things accurately, an old wise man (me) suggests that Lee Bowyer should reign back on the "what i said to make Scotty score again", "what i said to Deeney to bring out his best " etc etc etc stories.
All he is doing by taking credit for things which could just be an upturn in luck or fortune, or claiming to know the right thing to say at the right time to the right person, is making a rod for his own back.

What a fantastic afternoon at Stratford yesterday, the FA Cup is alive and well and this level.
Abroad car hire has gone through the roof.
Obviously due to covid and car rental firms being left with car stock, not being used. So I believe most car hire firms now have less stock and prices are now at a premium prices.
I used to book car hire as soon has I booked flights, but with the important proviso that you could CANCEL the booking, due to the fact that some new offer would come up, so I would start off with a car hire starting off at 300 Euros and by the last week before flying it has been down to one Euro a day. Looking for this in Lanzarote in a couple of weeks time and prices seem to have gone through the roof.
A week used to cost about £70 - £80, this time the quotes are coming in at £350+ for 5 days ????
Don’t know if it’s just because it’s relatively short notice, but any tips appreciated.
TIA

Not everyone’s cup of tea I know.
The competition this time seems to be very close.
