The co-commentator was Neil Redfearn. Formerly had a very good pro career as a player and has done a lot of coaching.
I can't comment personally based on listening on the radio but here's what a neutral thought.
Thought Blues played very well especially first half Brentord improved second half but Blues probably deserved to shade it.
He was generally very impressed by Blues organisation said they looked really well drilled and coached and had a lot of good passages of progressive play. played like a real team.
On individual players he raved about Juke and Clayton. Was also very impressed by the wide players and made mention of what a very good debut Jeacock had.
One player he thought could have done better was Toral who he felt let Juke down a bit by not making more effort to get closer and take advantage of his hold up play.
The defence he felt was very good as a unit. Said they coped very well with a tricky forward line.
Said his MOM was possibly Pedersen. Couple of dodgy moments but coped very well with Mbeumo, made a load of headers blocks and interventions and got forward well more so first half. Outstanding was the word he used.
Interesting. Reading views on SHA some people still seem to think Pedersen was no good.
I can't make a judgement until I watch the game. But if a defender didn't have an odd mistake in 98 minutes against a good team like Brentford with forwards like Canos, Mbeumo and Toney he would have to be a top defender. A neutral thought he generally did well and stood out in a good defensive performance.
