Feeling relaxed about it all
Emotions change with results of course and I’ve felt the full range of them. I don’t like the term bedwetter and neither do I like happy clapper. People care and show emotions in a range of ways. There’s not many morons on here doing things for attention, they mean what they say at the time and then, often, their opinion can change. If so, so what?
For me personally, I’ve had a crap 12-18 months due to illness and injury in our household and it’s severely restricted my ability to attend as many games as I’d like and also shown to me how much I actually enjoy the social side of it all.
As we’ve gone through one relegation battle to the next, I’ve previously always spent hours and days worrying about relegation, but this time is totally different.
I just can’t wait for August and a sunny day, beer garden and the chance to watch Blues again, whether it’s against Everton or Stevenage potentially. I desperately want us to stay up, but I’m also relaxed about the fact we are staring relegation in the face.
I don’t see relegation as a disaster as some have quoted, but neither do I see League One as a walk in the park. I just think that better times are coming for the football club in the near future (even if that means a year in the third tier). I also hope easier times are around the corner with home life, so that cheers me massively of course.
I’ve rambled somewhat but I am convinced that 2024/25 will be a positive season for Blues and we will make important progress, whatever the division.
We could fail to get another point this season, very easily in fact, but it won’t dampen my mood over the summer if so. We have the tools to rebuild now from whatever position we may find ourselves in and that means hope. Without hope, you have nothing. We have hope.
Keep Right On.
