Toyota Eyeing First Cup Win of 2018… Camry drivers will be looking for Toyota’s first Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series (MENCS) win of 2018 as NASCAR continues its West Coast swing and heads to the City of Angels. Toyota has registered two MENCS victories at California’s Auto Club Speedway – both seized by Kyle Busch in back-to-back seasons (2013 and 2014). The Joe Gibbs Racing (JGR) driver has the second-most total victories (three) and second-most laps led (611) among active MENCS drivers at the track located outside Los Angeles.
Cindric on Fontana “I’ve never raced there; it’s one of three tracks that I’ll visit for the first time this season; The other two being Richmond and Darlington. Michigan is similar in size and shape to Fontana and I’ve had some success there. In 2017, I was able to lead a lot of laps and battled for the win. I’ve spent some time on the sim prepping for Fontana and even got some advice from Mark Martin when he was at the shop the other day. NAPA AUTO PARTS BACK AGAIN: NAPA AUTO PARTS will be back as the primary sponsor of the No. 9 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 this weekend at Auto Club Speedway (ACS). The Atlanta-based company will serve as majority sponsor for Chase Elliott and the No. 9 team for 26 NASCAR Cup Series races this year. Most recently, Elliott piloted the familiar blue, white and yellow scheme at ISM Raceway, where he finished third.
