Toyota Racing Weekly Preview 07.22 – 07.28

Coming off a great weekend… For the second time in the last five races, all five full-time Toyota teams finished inside the top 10 in the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series (MENCS) race at New Hampshire Motor Speedway last Sunday. Denny Hamlin and Kyle Busch led 231 of 300 laps. Hamlin finished second and Busch ended up eighth. They were joined inside the top 10 by Erik Jones (third), Matt DiBenedetto (fifth) and Martin Truex Jr. (sixth).

Justin’s 2019 Mustang GT Build – PART 1

In this AM Mustang build video, Justin Dugan loads the parts cannon, firing off his first round of modifications at his 2019 Mustang GT. Justin’s 2019 GT was present at AmericanMuscle’s Mustang Show back in June of 2019 in this configuration however an official build video is always in line to announce and document any AM build progress. Part one of Justin’s build involves a slew of Mustang Exterior Mods, an AWE cat-back exhaust, lowering springs, and wheels and tires for the perfect drag-inspired stance.

Ross Chastain on Racing at Pocono: “I’m excited to get to Pocono,” said Chastain.  “This is such a fun and unique race track, and I enjoy the challenge that it presents.  We had a solid race at Kentucky that moved us into the top-20 in points, but our sights are set on trying to win more races before the playoffs start. I can’t thank Acurlite and BAJA enough for coming on board this weekend. I’m thrilled they’ll be joining us at the track, and I’m hoping we show them a good time.”

JR Motorsports — NXS Iowa II Preview

“We tried some things last week at New Hampshire to get ready for the return to Iowa, and I think we’ll have a sporty TMC Chevrolet this weekend at my home track. It’s always good to be home, and we’ve been pretty good on tracks under a mile this year. Roush Fenway Racing heads to the state of Pennsylvania for the second time in as many months as the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series (MENCS) makes its return trip to the 2.5-mile Pocono Raceway. RFR has 72 top-10 results and four wins all-time at the track with no turn four.

GMS Racing ​- John Hunter Nemechek – NXS Iowa Preview

John Hunter Nemechek and GMS Racing will utilize chassis no. 216 this weekend at Iowa Speedway. This chassis has been ran three times this season by Nemechek at ISM Raceway (start: 13th/finish: 9th), Richmond Raceway (start: 11th/finish: 7th) and at Iowa Speedway (start: 6th/finish: 8th).

Stewart Friesen is hoping there is something magical in the power of three this weekend at the Tricky Triangle. The No. 52 team has prepared chassis No.305 for this weekend's race. This will be the third straight race this truck has run. Friesen finished third in Chicago, second in Kentucky and is hoping to continue the trend and break through with his first win this weekend in Pocono.

Sheldon Creed reunites with Jeff Stankiewicz as his crew chief this weekend in Pocono. The duo won four races and earned 11 top-five, 12 top-10 finishes and three poles en route to the 2018 ARCA Racing Series championship.

Stenhouse has 13 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series (MENCS) starts at Pocono Raceway with an average starting position of 21.2 and average finishing position of 23.4.

Ryan Newman – Pocono II Advance

Newman will make his 36th MENCS start at Pocono on Sunday. In 35 prior starts, Newman has one win, nine top-five and 15 top-10 finishes. His overall average finish if 13.1 with 185 laps led at the 2.5-mile track.
