Sources: Police shooting victim was stabbing himself before officers opened fire

Sources say the man, whose identity hasn’t been released, produced a knife and stabbed himself more than a dozen times. He was taken to Hennepin County Medical Center, where his condition wasn’t known on Tuesday morning.
