Vikings sign tackle Storm Norton to practice squad

(Storm Norton/Minnesota Vikings) The Vikings have signed tackle Storm Norton to the practice squad, and released safety Jack Tocho, the team announced Tuesday. Norton, a rookie out of Toledo, was last on the Arizona Cardinals practice squad. He was an undrafted free agent signed by the Detroit Lions and spent training camp in Detroit. He adds depth to the Vikings’ at offensive line, where injuries have cropped up in recent weeks. Santa wasn’t there, but there was plenty of holiday spirit at the St. Nicholas Dinner at the Marriott in downtown Minneapolis. Guests were treated to a reception, dinner and dessert as well as stories of hope and recovery. The annual event, which celebrates the work of Catholic Charities in the Twin Cities, brought out many prominent guests, including the mayors elect, Melvin Carter (St. Paul) and Jacob Frey (Minneapolis).Catholic Charities serves those in need — whether because of abuse, illness or homelessness — and advocates for justice.
