Vikings activate Latavius Murray from physically-unable-to-perform list

«Star Tribune» (startribune.com)

MANKATO — The Vikings have had plenty of time to get a look at their rookie running back in training camp. Now, a couple days before they break camp, they’ll get to see their other new backfield acquisition. The team activated running back Latavius Murray from the physically-unable-to-perform list on Monday, in time for the Vikings’ penultimate practice in Mankato. Murray, who is scheduled to participate in Monday afternoon’s practice, will do his first on-field team work since signing with the Vikings in March. Читать дальше...

Jimmy Butler took Bulls employees out for a thank you dinner in Chicago

«Star Tribune» (startribune.com)

I have a limited working knowledge of new Timberwolves forward Jimmy Butler, but everything so far seems to indicate he’s a good guy. This story out of Chicago does nothing to change that opinion. Per the Chicago Tribune, Butler was in Chicago over the weekend for Dwyane Wade’s youth basketball camp and took about three dozen behind-the-scenes Bulls employees out for a long dinner as a way of saying thanks for their help over the years. Is Eddie Rosario ready to be a middle-of-the-order hitter for the Twins?

«Star Tribune» (startribune.com)

Rosario has largely put up those numbers, however, at the bottom of the order. Going into Sunday, he had started 91 games for the Twins this season. He had never batted higher than fifth in the order — and he had only risen that high nine times. He hit sixth another 21 times. Читать дальше...

The new exit plaza and pay stations are located closer to Hwy. 5 than the current exit plaza, which will be razed after the new plaza opens. A new 5,000-car parking ramp is planned for the site of the current exit plaza, necessitating its relocation.

Rashod Hill's 'scare' a reminder of Vikings' tenuous OL depth

«Star Tribune» (startribune.com)

MANKATO — The moment that briefly apprehended Vikings fans during the team’s Saturday night practice at Blakeslee Stadium — the run play that put tackle Rashod Hill on the grass, holding his left leg — turned out to be nothing more than a “scare,” according to Hill’s agent Brett Tessler. Tessler tweeted on Sunday morning that Hill was fine after leaving Saturday’s practice, and isn’t expected to miss any time. Hill was able to stand up before the Vikings took him off the field on a cart on Saturday night... Читать дальше...
