The coincidence of similarity between the Vikings' playoff path this year and 32 years ago in 1987 has been noted in the past couple weeks — and with increasing frequency in the last few days since the Vikings sprung an upset on New Orleans. The routes for the first two weeks– at New Orleans for the opener on a Sunday then at San Francisco the following Saturday — are identical.
