TikTok stars mocked after asking famous actor out on a date without realising who he is – would you recognise him?
A PAIR of TikTokers left viewers in hysterics after failing to recognise a Hollywood star in a video that’s gone viral.
App users Ruby Hexx and pal Ivy Fox jumped on the trend of asking strangers if they would rather have $100 or go on a date.
Their effort definitely stood out from the thousands of others that have come before thanks to them unknowingly approaching Thomas Brodie-Sangster.
The Brit actor, 32, first found fame as a child star in Love Actually and has gone on to have a very successful career in the industry.
His more recent credits include Disney’s Sex Pistols biopic Pistol, Netflix smash The Queen’s Gambit, Maze Runner, Game of Thrones and superhero blockbuster X-Men.
Running up to him as he walked along a London street, the girls asked: “Excuse me, would you rather $100 or a date with us two?”
Thomas, who is dating his Pistol co-star Talulah Riley, answered: “Oh, I’m in a relationship so I’d take the $100. No offence.”
The giggling girls walked away as Thomas said: “But I’m also English so dollars are no use to me. So I’d have neither.”
Things then got very awkward as they confused him for a different actor – Skandar Keynes.
Thomas confirmed his profession after the pair admitted they recognised him from the screen. Ruby then asked: “Did you do The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe?”
The humble star said: “No. I went to the premiere but I wasn’t in it.”
Viewers couldn’t believe what had happened, with one asking: “How do u see him and not know him lol.”
