“What a lot of people don’t realise is that you can actually see filler on MRI scanners It kind of looks like water.”
Dr Nicole said another doctor, Dr Chan discovered his patients had filler show in the MRI scans years after getting filler.
“Dr Chan sent his patients to this radiologist who did an MRI scan on all of the patients. In many of them you could still see the filler years later.”
“One of the patients had a bit of filler 12 years ago, filler was still there, she was still experience puffiness under the eyes, that’s was why the radiologist even said he could see filler in different nooks and crannies, like under the cheekbone and around the teeth.”

Dr Nicole says she advises patients who get regular filler to think twice.
“So if you routinely get filler, I wouldn’t recommend going straight back to your injector just because it’s been six months.”
“Most likely the filler is still there and you will need a longer period of time. A year upwards of a year before you even need to think about getting more filler.”
